GU10 led bulb on a trailing-edge dimmer glows when switched off
A glow when switched off usually has one of three causes: a small current the dimmer lets through when off (common with electronic dimmers), voltage induced from nearby cables, or a fault such as the switch cutting the neutral instead of the live. Fit a dimmer made for LEDs; if the glow stays, have it checked. There's no standard minimum load: use the minimum and maximum printed on your dimmer — with 5 W GU10 bulbs a 10 W minimum needs 2, a 40 W minimum 8. The bulb must be marked dimmable.
